Angelina Jolie & Daughter Vivienne’s Latest Expedition Proves the A-List Star Is More Down to Earth Than We Thought

Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne, 15 seem to have been on quite a special mother-daughter trip recently. Perhaps it had something to do with preparations for The Outsiders, the soon-to-be Broadway musical that Jolie is producing. Last month, Jolie announced that Vivienne would be her volunteer assistant for the production.

“Viv reminds me of my mother (actress Marcia Lynne “Marcheline” Bertrand) in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Jolie said in a statement. “She’s very thoughtful and serious about theater and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”

So perhaps, when they were spotted at John F. Kennedy airport in New York City, it was because they were traveling to or from meetings about the show.

Did you catch that? The two were walking through JFK. Just like your average mother and daughter. They weren’t being secretly whisked off to a private jet, and we really hope they were about to fly (or just had flown) commercial. Could you imagine seeing Jolie at your gate? It’s probably a lot like seeing Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard playing cards and spreading out when stranded at the Boston airport.

They were smiling and laughing, seemingly sharing inside jokes, and it all just looked so down-to-earth for an A-List celeb. (See HERE.)

Jolie shares Vivienne — along with kids Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and Vivienne’s twin, Knox — with ex-husband Brad Pitt. If the two were making a Broadway-related trip, it’s possible Pitt was not happy about it. A source alleged that Pitt thinks this new opportunity for Vivienne will negatively impact their father-daughter relationship.
