This Activewear Brand Will Recycle Your Unwanted Maternity Clothes For Mums-in-Need

Sure, you can get away with baggy dresses and loose tees for a while, but there comes a point in pregnancy when you realise those tights you bought that are two sizes too big, still don’t fit – they’re baggy around the crotch and tight around the belly. That ladies, is the moment you realise maternity clothes were created for a reason.

Yet the reality is that in Australia there is a significant population of mums-to-be that can’t afford to spend the money on that new pair of maternity jeans. They need our support more than ever – and it’s brands like Emamaco who are helping do exactly that.

Pregnancy can be a time of uncertainty no matter what your circumstances. No woman should have to feel alone or helpless during this time, that’s why Emamaco are working with Pregnancy Assistance Bunbury to help them continue to support pregnant women and mums in-need by starting a donation program for mums to recycle their unwanted maternity clothing for pregnant women/mums-in-need.

The service relies solely on donations from the community, and is in constant need of maternity clothing for the hundreds of women they see. “All our second hand items are sorted by these wonderful volunteers to ensure they are of a suitable quality and safety to give to clients, and then washed or cleaned,” says Janet, who has been coordinating the service since 2019. “Our most needed items, which are in short supply, are maternity clothing that appeals to younger mums-to-be, toiletries (maternity pads, breast pads, baby bath solution etc), capsules, and prams,” Janet added.
