Keke Palmer’s Baby Leo Got To Meet an Important Political Figure at the White House & the Video Is So Cute
Keke Palmer’s baby Leo is already making connections in our nation’s highest office. The Big Boss star and her boyfriend Darius Jackson recently took their 4-month-old son Leodis “Leo” Andrellton to the White House, and they got to meet an important political figure.

In a video posted to Instagram today, Palmer gets a big hug from none other than Vice President Kamala Harris!
“Thank you, @VP, for welcoming me and baby Leo to the White House,” the Human Resources star wrote. “It was such an amazing opportunity that we will never forget.”

In the video, Harris reaches over to give Palmer a hug, greeting her with a “Hi momma!”
Palmer, who was rocking the Barbiecore trend in a bright pink pantsuit with black trim, told her that she is doing “amazing,” adding, “And I’m so glad that you get to meet Leo.”
Harris, dressed in a light blue pantsuit, leaned over and said, “Hi man!”
Jackson holds Leo in his arms, and the newborn is just gazing at the Vice President like he’s in awe.

Kamala Harris Called Baby Leo When He Was Born

Harris adds, “Thurgood Marshall?”
The baby must have smiled, because Palmer and Harris both smiled, and the True Jackson, VP star said, “Aww, he loves you!”
She also revealed that Harris called baby Leo when he was born. “She called you when you were born,” Palmer tells her son.
“I did, to welcome you,” Harris said. “I wanted to officially welcome you to this wonderful world. Welcome, Leo. We’re so happy you’re here.” What an incredibly special moment for Palmer to have the Vice President of the United States personally welcome your baby to the world! We’re crying.
“I can’t wait to watch what you will do,” Harris adds, as the family of three poses for a picture with the Vice President.

Keke Palmer Interviewed Kamala Harris About the Maternal Health Crisis

“As you guys may know, I’ve been a mother for what? Four months now. And it has changed my life incredibly — not just in figure,” she joked. “But personal, career, I mean, and just the way that I look at mothers that come before me now that I’m finally in their shoes. I mean, motherhood is fabulous, but it also comes with its own unique challenges.”
“And I immediately knew, like I think the first week, that most mothers do not get the support that they need. Because I found myself to be struggling, and I had family, friends, everyone within arms reach and it still was a lot.” Amen, sister! I love that she acknowledges that even with her privilege and wealth of support, motherhood was still hard for her and must be even harder for other mothers who don’t have that.
