Britney Spears has been getting creative with out-of-the-box workouts lately (bikini yoga, dancing, just to name a few). And, it turns out, there’s a reason for that: She accidentally burned down her home gym.
Britney laid it all out in a new Instagram video. “Hey guys—I’m in my home gym… I haven’t been in here for six months because I burned my gym down, unfortunately,” she said in the video. According to Brit, she “had some candles and one thing led to another.”
She elaborated a little more in the post’s caption. “I walked past the door to the gym and flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥 BOOM !!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm 🚨 went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt 🙏🏼,” she wrote. “Unfortunately now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym 🙄🙄🙄 !!!!! But it could be much worse so I’m grateful. Pssss I like working out better outside anyways 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 !!!!”
So, she’s making do. Spears then shared what she’s been doing to get her workout in, and it looks surprisingly doable. She starts with some arm lifts with small weights, before moving on to squats (while still holding the weights). After that whole series, Britney moves onto lunges and then does a bunch of yoga moves on her patio.
