What June’s New Moon In Gemini Means For Your Zodiac Sign
Mondays in the winter can be rough. After all, you’re wasting a perfectly good couch time being all kinds of responsible at the office—and that’s zero fun. Luckily, you’ll have something to look forward to after slogging through this Monday, June 3: a new moon in Gemini.
Backing up a sec, a “new moon” happens when the moon is in line with the sun, meaning it’s pretty much invisible from Earth. There are 12 new moons a year, and each corresponds with a different zodiac sign.
This new moon is happening in the sign of Gemini, and it’s going to make you seriously ready to grab life by the balls, according to Donna Page, a certified astrologer in Atlanta. Here’s what else you can expect from the new moon in Gemini:
What does the new moon in Gemini mean for your sign?
You’ll be big on having great conversations with friends, whether you’re going on long rugged-up walks or drinking wine by the wire. It’s also a great time to check in with old pals you haven’t seen in a while, Page says.
Besides reigniting your friendships, this new moon will light a serious fire under your butt to get out and achieve your dreams—even if everyone else thinks they’re a little wild. Suddenly, your vision of moving to LA to become an actress seems a little more real…
Just a heads up, per Page: “Everybody else might say you’re being a dreamer.” (? But you’re not the only one… ?)
While you’re at it, you’ll have a serious think on your past and realise it doesn’t have to impact your future. “It’s time to push your scope of things. Maybe you couldn’t have done this in the past, but now, it’s possible,” Page says. “Do not let the past hold you back from your future.”
The new moon in Gemini will impact all astrological signs, but Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces will feel it especially strongly, Page says.
How will the new moon in Gemini affect the rest of your month and year?
The new moon in Gemini can make you fearless, causing you to take some risks you might have shied away from before. Maybe you’ll change jobs, move across the country, or even just mix up your usual UberEats order. Embrace your newfound ballsiness without fearing the decisions you make during this time. “Don’t be afraid to change,” Page says.
The only potential downside is that you’ll have so many great ideas that you won’t get any traction. So, focus on a few things you really want to do—and then, go get ’em.
So…when is the next new moon?
The next new moon is in Cancer, and it’s happening on July 2, Page says. During this time, you’ll probably feel like spending more time with family and close friends—just in time for the 4th of July.
But for now, get out there, do your own thing, and carpe that f*cking diem.
