Baby Sussex Has the Same B-Day as These Celebs (Including George Clooney!)

May 6 just became a whole lot more special! Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan welcomed their first child — a 7 pound, 3 ounce boy — in the early hours of Monday morning.

“The duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives,” read a statement posted on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Instagram account.

The announcement, which came just a few minutes after Buckingham Palace confirmed that Meghan had gone into labor, was followed by a surprise appearance by Harry outside Windsor Castle.

“Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning — a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well,” the 34-year-old told reporters. “This has been the most amazing experience I could possibly imagine. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everyone out there. It’s been amazing.”

Harry continued, “I haven’t been in many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible. … This little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”

The prince and the Suits alum, 37, tied the knot in May 2018 and announced her pregnancy five months later.
